Death
Mrs. Shirley Holland Furr, 70, of 153 Canady St., Fayetteville, died Saturday, July 31, 2004, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Highland Baptist Church in Hope Mills by Dr. Ronald Loftis. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Furr is survived by three sons, Jack Lowther and Tracy Furr, both of Fayetteville and Mac Furr of Lumber Bridge; a daughter, Lola Cain of Tobemory; a brother, James Holland of Fayetteville; a sister, Lois Pate of Fayetteville; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 at Hamilton-Porter Funeral Home in Hope Mills.The Fayetteville Observer, Fayetteville, North Carolina, August 3, 2004
