Death
Funeral Services for Stephen Douglas Fleming, age 79, of Picayune, MS, who passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021, will be held Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 23, 2021 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church; and also Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 1:00 pm until 2:00pm Service time at the Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home. Elder Terry Robertson and Elder Jimmy Beech will officiate the services. A native of Picayune, MS, he served 32 years and retired from the MS Army National Guard. Steve retired as a plumber and water treatment plant operator from Stennis Space Center. He was a member of Salem Landmark Missionary Baptist Church. Steve enjoyed being with his friends and family. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.T. Fleming and Valiree Jones Fleming; his sister, Melba Beech; his son in law, Keith Skipper, Jr. and his brother-in-law, Harold Creel. Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife of 59 years, Sarah "Annette" Furr Fleming; his children, Scott (Joy) Fleming, Marcella Beach, and Elizabeth Skipper; his grandchildren, Megan Beach, Billy (Shasta) Beach, Bethani (Thomas) Heck, and Noah Skipper; his great grandchildren, Kayleen Dubrel, Blaine Beach, Tyson Mitchell, Amethyst Whipple, and Oliver Temple; his sisters, Jeanette Creel and Linda (Barkley) Cooksey; his brothers, James Troy (Beverly) Fleming and Monte (Pat) Fleming; his brother in law, Jimmy (Gracie) Beech; and numerous nieces and nephews.
