Death
Mrs. Jean Rapier Boling, 79, died Tuesday May 6, 2014, at Springs Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 4, 1935, in Fulton County, Ga., a daughter of the late Donald Burt Rapier and Ethel Furr Rapier and was the wife of the late Norman Ezell "Peanut" Boling Sr. Mrs. Boling retired from Springs Industries Customer Service Center and was a member of Douglas Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons, Norman Ezell Boling Jr. and his wife, Penny, of Charlotte, and Timothy Ray Boling of Lancaster; a sister, Patricia Rapier of Atlanta; and six grandchildren, Christopher, Mitchell, Kristen, Caitlin, Jessica and Shaun Boling. Mrs. Boling was preceded in death by a son, James K. Boling; and a brother, Donald Rapier. The celebration of life funeral service for Mrs. Boling is 3 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at the chapel of Burgess Funeral Home by the Rev. Patrick Clark. Burial will follow at Douglas Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service from 2 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home and suggest memorial contributions be made to Douglas Presbyterian Church, 2325 Sunday Place, Lancaster, SC 29720.
