Death
McKINNEY - Funeral services for Roy Edward Jenkins, 78, of McKiney, will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel with Rev. John McCallon officiating. Burial will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park. Mr. Jenkins died Thursday at North Texas Medical Center. He was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Rhea's Mill, Collin County, to Milford and Illa Furr Jenkins. He married Lera Mae Eastup in Whitewright on Oct. 10, 1936. He was owner of Jenkins Oil Company and member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Lera Mae Jenkins of McKinney; two sons, Rodney E. Jenkins and Ronald K. Jenkins, both of McKinney; daughter, Sondara Seamater of Abilene; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Lee Grace of Dallas and Marie Story of Sulphur Springs; an aunt, Ruby Woods of McKinney; several nieces and nephews.
