Death
CONCORD Ray Henderson Ross, 74, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012. Mr. Ross was born Oct. 25, 1937, in Cabarrus County, to the late Paul Henderson Ross and Audie Crayton Ross. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Faye Ross, who died May 26, 2012. Ray was a retired truck driver and he was a member of Cold Springs United Methodist Church. Survivors include his son, James Ray Ross (Cindy), of Concord; two daughters, Teresa Furr (Dennis), of Mt. Pleasant and Lori J. Ross, of Concord; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Luther Ross, of Monroe; and two sisters, Betty Harwood, of Mt. Pleasant and Geraldine Shoaf, of Florida. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 500 Hospice Ln., Kannapolis, NC 28081.
