Calvin Ellis Helms, 95, of Harrisburg, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at PruittHealth -Town Center in Harrisburg. Mr. Helms was born September 20, 1924 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina to the late Calvin Ellis Helms, Sr. and the late Edna Furr Helms. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Sara Helms, sons, Tommy E. Helms, Timothy W. Helms, brothers, George Helms, Earl Helms; sisters, Helen Carpenter, Lona Jonas, Betty Baggerly, Lois Helms. The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, Friday May 29, 2020 at Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg. The funeral service will follow at 1 pm. Burial will follow at the West Concord Cemetery at 331 Union Cemetery Rd SW, Concord. Survivors include daughter, Cathy (Doug) Furr of Concord, NC, son, Mickey (Jennifer) Helms of Harrisburg, NC, sisters, Elsie Helms Walker and Margie Walker of Concord, NC. Also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and five great great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to The Gideons International Processing Center, P.O.
