CONCORD Margaret Ann "Maggie" Madden Lenzer, 76, of Concord, went to be with her Heavenly Father Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord today, Jan. 22, 2012, from 7 until 9 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Carlton Davidson, will be held at Branchview First Church of God, 246 Branchview Dr. NE, Concord, on Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at 2 p.m., with a 30-minute state. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. At other times the family will meet at the home. Margaret was born July 28, 1935, to the late Charles Robert Madden and Ilene Mara Madden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Lenzer, and a brother, Ronald Madden. She was a wonderful, understanding pastor's wife for over 40 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who was dedicated to her family. Mrs. Lenzer is survived by her husband of 55 years, Rev. Edward Anthony Lenzer; four children, Sandy Furr and husband, Tim, of Kannapolis, Edward Lenzer, III, and Tammy Wallace of Concord, and Lori Marsh and husband, Mike, of China Grove; nine grandchildren, Ashley VanAllen, Clay Bailey, Justin Wallace, Eddie Lenzer, IV, Taylor Furr, Brittany Bailey, Kody Lenzer, Tim Furr and Chase Wallace; four great-grandchildren, Kaden Plumber, Madison Wallace, Peyton VanAllen and Aubrey Bailey; and two sisters, Wanda Robison and Darbra Fitzwater. The family would like to thank Levine and Dickson Hospice House for all their support and compassion. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Lenzer family.
