Deta B. AllgoodServices for Deta B. Allgood of Brookhaven, and formerly of Richardson, Texas, are 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 16, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial at 3 p.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Pineville, La.
Visitation is Friday, Dec. 15, from 4:30-8:30 p.m. at Brookhaven Funeral Home.
Mrs. Allgood, 77, died Dec. 13, 2000, at St. Dominic's Hospital. She was born in Peck, La., on Oct. 1, 1923, to Audley Bird and Virginia Furr Bird.
She was retired from teaching after 36 years and was a real estate agent.
Preceding her in death was her father.
Survivors are her husband, J. Wayne Allgood of Brookhaven; her mother, Virginia Furr Bird of Sicily Island, La.; her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and the Rev. Joe Wallace of Brookhaven; her brother, Girualt Bird of Sicily Island, La.; her sister, La Verne Harris of Bossier City, La.; her grandchildren, Laura and Capt. Doniel Keel of Rock Island, Ill., Melinda and the Rev. Stan Wallace of El Dorado, Ark., Jennifer and Micheal Smith of Baton Rouge; and her great-grandchildren, Alexandra Wallace, Virginia Keel and Samuel Keel.
