Death
ACKERMAN — Francis Lee Furr, 53, died suddenly here Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m. from the Ackerman Baptist Church with burial in the Enon cemetery. Adams Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Furr was owner of the West End Grocer, official board member of the Ackerman Methodist Church, member of the American Legion, VFW and Lions club and a World War II veteran. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude K. Furr, two sons, Lee Furr and John Furr, both of Ackerman, two daughters, Judy Furr and Jean Furr, both of Ackerman, his mother, Mrs. Ora Hawkins of Natchez, one brother, D. M. Hawkins Union Church and one sister, Mrs. W. Moss of Natchez.Clarion-Ledger, Jackson, Mississippi, December 8, 1967
