Death

Foy Weeburn Curenton, 86, of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, September 17, 2011 at his daughter's home in Pell City, AL. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation being from 12 noon until service time at Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. James Sampley and Rev. Fox Fleming officiating and special prayer by the Honorable Lenwood Herron. Burial will follow in Enterprise City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva/Wiregrass Hospice in Enterprise or Oxford, AL. Mr. Curenton was born November 30, 1924 to the late L.C. and Ina Curenton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Annette Ramsey Curenton and two brothers, Tell Gethel Curenton and Hay-wood Nebron Curenton. Survivors include a special sister-in-law, Shirley White; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Alan Furr, Pell City, AL; son and daughter-in-law, Tim and Cynthia Curenton, Enterprise; five grandchildren, Parrish Furr, Emily Furr Morton, Aaron Curenton, Ashley Curenton and Adam Curenton and two great-grandchildren, Cameron Furr and Brantly Furr.
