Death

CONCORD - Mrs. Juanita Vinson Sherwood Coble, 84, of Crestside Drive passed away at home on Thursday, May 20, 2010. Funeral Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, at Epworth UMC with Dr. Glenn Myers Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the church and will be at the home the remaining time. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery. Juanita was born in Cabarrus County on Jan. 27, 1926 to the late Dewey Maine Sherwood and Bessie Furr Sherwood. She was an active member of Epworth UMC as well as an avid homemaker. Juanita was also said to be a mother to all, loving everyone. She is also preceded in death by a son, Lewis "Elex" Coble and a brother, Kenneth Maine Sherwood. She is survived by her husband, Lewis Daniel Coble of the home; daughters, Bonnie Coble of Concord, Tonya Coble of the home; brother, Dewey J. Sherwood and wife, Shelby, of Concord; grandchildren, LeRene Brantley, Kristin Gray, Skyela Campbell; great-grandchild, Faith Brantley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Epworth UMC, 1030 Burrage Rd, Concord, NC 28025, or Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Ln., Kannapolis, 28081.
