Death
Mr. John Coleman "Doots" Furr, age 93. A native of Washington County, AL and a resident of Mobile, Alabama died on Friday, April 23, 2010. Mr. Furr worked for 24 years as Tax Collector of Washington County. He is survived by his wife, Mary Catherine Furr; four daughters, Joy Beech, Jean Moseley, Joan (Edward) Lomax and Mary Cleveland. Three sisters, Annie Laura Tarver, Sarah McKinley and Nellie Jean Blankinship. Ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
