Death

Bossier City, LA - Clara Lulabe Furr, age 87, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2012. Funeral services celebrating her life will be held at First Baptist Church of Bossier, in Faith Chapel, at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, 2013, with interment to follow at Hill Crest Memorial Park. Dr. Fred Lowery and Reverend Ray Raney will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m., at the church, prior to services. She was a godly servant teaching Sunday school for many years and impacting the lives of so many people. She was such a role model to all who knew her heart and love for her church family. She was a retired school bus driver for Bossier Parish. Survivors include her devoted husband and best friend, Lucian, of 69 years; daughters Dana Howard; Laney Boyd and husband, Jimmy; Cindy Arnold and husband, Jack; grandchildren and their families, Amy and Mike Long and Colby; Allison and Richard Jones, Hogan and Paxton; Michael Howard and Linda Hess; Stephen and Katie Boyd, Mason and Maggie; Kelly Lorenzen, Abigail and Hunter; Mary and Tim Huck, Landon and Brady; Jessica Arnold and Bryce; Drew Arnold and Jessica Castillo, Elyce and Emiko; sisters, Mary Alice Wall and husband, Jimmy and Bay Naylor as well as many, many loved nieces and nephews and extended families. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Leroy Faith, Bill Crow, Danny Bob Turner, Jim Jarratt, Jimmy Starks; and Ed Slemp.
