She was murdered by smothering.

NORTH BELMONT — Mrs. Kathy Furr Dover, 18, of Farmer's Trailer Park, North Belmont, died Saturday in Gaston County. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday at Stanly Funeral Home Chapel, Albemarle. Officiating at the rites will be the Rev. Judson Rotan and the Rev. Waller Eury. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home where the family will receive friends tonight trom 7 to 9 o'clock. Mrs. Dover was born Aug 23, 1955, in Fulton County, Ga, and was a daughter of Wade C. and Hakel Eudy Furr of Farmer’s Trailer Park, North Belmont. She was a member of Love's Chapel Baptist Church tn Mecklenburg County. In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, Dennis Ray Dover, a daughter, Connie Ann Dover of the home, a brother, Mickey James Furr of Belmont, a sister, Mrs. Don Whitley of Albemarle, and her grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Furr of Albemarle.
