Death

James Earl Furr of Vicksburg, MS died Monday, February 5, 2018. He was 54 years old. James was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg, MS. He was preceded in death by his parent's father Willard Furr and his mother Margie Marshall Furr, brothers Paul Furr and Mark "Bo" Furr. He worked as a carpenter. He is survived by his wife Lori Hackler-Furr of Vicksburg, a son Jeffery Furr of Louisiana, daughter Christina Shields of Richland, MS, step-daughter Kristen Danielle Pecanty of Vicksburg, sisters Cindy Adams of Vicksburg and Rita Adams of Vicksburg, and a brother Timothy Furr of Raleigh, MS. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Glenwood Funeral Home with services beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Mike Fields officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Barnes, Brock Barnes, Timothy Furr, Dale Adams, David Stokes, and Mitchell Furr. Honorary pallbearers will be Jackie Adams and Mitchell Johnson.
