Death

David Richard Saxby, 59, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009 at his residence. David was born May 24, 1950, in Niskayuna, NY. He was a past member of the New York Army National Guard and had work with the Schenectady Gazette newspaper for many years, prior to his move to the Myrtle Beach area in 1995. David enjoyed living near the ocean and being with his family. He was predeceased by his father, Richard William Saxby. Surviving are his mother, Marilyn Perran Saxby of Myrtle Beach; his wife of 42 years, Dorian Carpenter Saxby of Myrtle Beach; two daughters, Jennifer (Brian) Saxby Burkhart of Sykesville, MD, and Joanne (Michael) Saxby Furr of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Robin Livingston of Myrtle Beach; and two grandchildren, David Burkhart and Sean Furr. Private services will be held by the family at a later date. McMillan-Small Funeral Home is serving the family.
