Death

MOUNT PLEASANT - Fred Reece "Rab" Faggart, 56, of Nellie Beaver Road, Mount Pleasant, died Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009, at his residence. The Faggart family will receive friends 5-7 p.m. on Friday at Gordon Funeral Home of Mount Pleasant. Family and friends will gather at a later date to scatter his ashes. Mr. Faggart was born June 14, 1953, in Cabarrus County, son of Dorothy Hagler Faggart and the late Ned Reece Faggart. He was the owner operator of Mt. Pleasant Machine Company. He was a member of the Sons of the Confederacy and Dove Ministries Church. He is survived by his mother, Dorothy H. Faggart; daughter, Amanda Furr, of Mount Pleasant; sisters, Debbie Bost and husband, Dennis, of Rockwell, and Vickie Carpenter and husband, Danny, of Mount Pleasant; and grandchildren, Cole, Lawson and Layla Furr. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be directed to Savannah Ard Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 1798, Sumter, SC 29151-1798.
