Death
Mr. Albert Furr, a resident of Mendenhall Route 3 for the past two years, passed away on January 16th, following an illness of thee weeks caused by a heart ailment. He was 57 years of age. The body of the deceased was carried to Copiah county, his former home, for burial. Services were held from Rocky Hill Church, near Wesson, with the Hazlehurst American Legion Post in charge of military arrangements. The presiding pastors were Rev. James Allgood and Rev. Sammie Crawford. Survivors are the widow, three daughters, Mrs. E. F. Reeves, Mendenhall, Miss Darlene Furr, Hattiesburg and Miss Marie Furr, of Mendenhall; one sister, Mrs. N. A. McBride, of Crystal Springs; one grandchild, Timmie Ray Reeves. Two half brothers and one half sister also survive. Funeral arrangements were under the supervision of Johnson Funeral Home of Mendenhall.Simpson County News, Mendenhall, Mississippi, January 24, 1946
