Billy Everette Lefler, Sr., 73, of 30028 Keystone Drive, off Valley Drive, Albemarle, died at 8:10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, in CMC-Northeast.His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hartsell Funeral Home’s Lefler Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Charles Spivey and The Rev. William Souther will officiate and entombment will be in Stanly Gardens of Memory Mausoleum in Albemarle.The family will meet at the home.Born Sept. 13, 1935, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Benny Everette and Ruth Elizabeth Pepper Lefler and was a quarry foreman for L.S. Starrett of Mt. Airy.He is survived by his wife,Ola Bea Wofford Lefler of Albemarle; five sons, Billy Lefler, Jr., of Shallotte, Ricky Lefler of Roaring River, Christopher Lefler of Millingport, Tracy Lefler of New London and Larry Lefler of Mt. Pleasant; seven daughters, Sherry Tucker, Vicky Eudy, Dawn Martin and Nita Starnes, all of Albemarle, Tammy Furr and Kimberly Culp, both of Badin, and Belinda Poplin of Millingport; three brothers, Benny Lefler of Salisbury, Jerry Lefler of Lewisville, Texas, and Jimmy Lefler of Faith; 10 sisters, Betty Creswell, Peggy Beck, Frankie Smith, Deanna Upright and Patsy Goodman, all of Salisbury, Juanita Overcash of Badin, Rita Kiziah of Faith, Donna Shinn of Rockwell, Judy Weaver of Landis and Ruby Lentz of New London; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hartsell Funeral Home in Albemarle.Memorials may be made to Hartsell Funeral Home, P.O.
