Earl B. Crayton, Sr., 79, of 4300 Renee Ford Road, Stanfield, died at 1:13 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in CMC-Northeast.His funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Kinza Memorial Baptist Church. Dr. Darrell Nance, The Rev. Don Jordan and The Rev. Roy Lee Barbee will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery with miliary rites at graveside by Stanly County DAV Chapter 12.Born Dec. 7 1928, in Stanfield, he was a son of the late John Nelson and Gertie Lou Hinson Crayton and was a meat cutter for Swift and Co. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.Two brothers, Johnny Crayton and J.D. Crayton, and a son, Junior Crayton, preceded him in death.He is survived by his wife, Della Rae Barbee Crayton of the home; three daughters, Bonnie Barbee and husband, Jeff, of Oakboro, Angie Morton and husband, Randy, of Albemarle, and Amie Crayton of Oakoro; a brother, Clyde Crayton of Stanfield; a sister, Lona Yow of Stanfield; grandchildren, Shanna Barbee Goldman and husband, Chris, Jamie Crayton, Keri Morton, Lindsey Furr, Krista Morton, Tanner Furr, Tad Morton and Allie Furr; and a great-grandchild, Madilyn Hatley.Memorials may be sent to The Gideons International, P.O.
