Death

Mary Della Moore Knight married John Furr when they were both 75 years old. John Furr was the father of her son-in-law, Robert Furr. This was her third and final marriage. Her second marriage to David Russell Charles Knight ended when he died in 1945. After the death of Dave Knight, she lived with her children or near them. She lived with Perry Knight at the time of his death in 1954 and had helped raise his three children. She had also helped to raise her grandson, George and lived with her daughter, Ocie during that time. She was a warm person, very caring and loving. She also had a great sense of humor and wonderful laugh. Mary Della loved to garden, she had a green thumb and enjoyed cooking. One of her favortie pasttimes was to make hand made quilts, which she did most of her life until her eysight failed her. Her family was very important to her, she was generous to a fault where they were concerned. She attended the baptist church faithfully. She lived a long life and her death was a great loss to us all.
