Death

Peggy Furr, 90, passed away September 19, 2017. She was born August 30, 1927 in Charlotte, NC, a daughter of the late Russell and Doris McAllister. The joy of Peggy's life was her family and faith. She adored her late husband Ray, of 70 years. She was a devoted mother and wife and an active member of Ebenezer church all her life. She was the matriarch of the family and ensured everyone was taken care of. She tended to everyone that was sick and gave to all before taking anything for herself. Peggy is survived by her son Rusty and 3 grandchildren, Brandy, Jamie and Will Furr and 3 great grandchildren Anthony, Colton and McClaine. Visitation will be held at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church 7407 Steele Creek Rd. Charlotte, NC 28217 on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM followed by the service at 3:00PM. Burial will be at Ebenezer Presbyterian Cemetery at 6210 Old Pineville Rd Charlotte, NC 28217. Hankins and Whittington Funeral Service is entrusted with the care of Mrs. Furr and her family.
