Death
Edith Jane Mann Mills, a cherished daughter born to the late Cecil Miller Mann and Gladys C Canterbury Mann of Princeton, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2024. She graced the world with her presence on March 16, 1953, and Princeton remained her beloved home until 2023 when she came to live with her son, Cecil Calvin Toler, and his family in Halifax, Virginia. In addition to her two beloved sons, Cecil Calvin Toler and Walter Andrew Toler, Edith leaves behind her sister, Karen C Lane of Charlotte, North Carolina. Edith's family extended far beyond her immediate children, as she was blessed with the presence of several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought immense joy into her life. Among her dear grandchildren, AJ Toler held a special place in her heart, as did her great-granddaughter, Anastasia Grace Toler. Edith's family also included her grandson, Hunter Calvin Toler, and his daughter, Falon Paige Toler. Her grandson, Forrest Parker Toler, and granddaughter, Rachael Elizabeth Toler, were also cherished members of her family. Edith's great-granddaughter, Adalynd Lu Toler, completed her family circle with boundless love and infectious laughter. Edith's love for her family knew no bounds, and she treasured every precious moment spent with them. Her legacy will endure through the love and cherished memories shared among her children, sister, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. May her grieving family find solace in the treasured memories they hold of Edith Jane Mann Mills. Edith retired from Celanese in Narrows, Virginia, where she dedicated her time and expertise. She was known for her strong work ethic and commitment to excellence. In her leisure time, Edith loved to read and play bingo, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. Her infectious laughter and witty sense of humor brought smiles to the faces of all who knew her. As a feline enthusiast, Edith also had a deep love for cats and found great comfort in their presence. Her cats brought her joy and companionship, adding another layer of love to her life. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Arbor Day Foundation to plant a tree in Edith's name. This gesture reflects Edith's deep love for nature and her desire to leave a lasting impact on the environment she held dear. By planting a tree in her memory, her legacy will continue to grow and flourish alongside the beauty of nature. In accordance with Edith's wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the serene Keaton Cemetery on Cook's Run Road in Lindside, West Virginia. The service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 31, 2024, for family and close friends, as Edith's final resting place is prepared. Those attending the service are requested to meet at the cemetery by service hour. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time. Your kindness and compassion are deeply appreciated.
