Lucy Margaret Lee Dennis, 87, of 32038 Tom Road, Albemarle, died at 5:20 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, in CMC NorthEast Medical Center in Concord.Her funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, in Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church. Elder Rom Kerley and Elder Larry Austin officiated and burial was in Anderson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Albemarle.’Born Aug. 20, 1920, in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late David Bennett and Rosanna Little Lee. She was a retired employee of Albemarle Spinning Mill and a member of Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church. She loved gardening and flowers. Her husband, John Duston Dennis, preceded her in death in 1975. A daughter, Barbara Furr, also preceded her in death.She is survived by two daughters, Lucille Butler and husband, Charles, and Ruthie Broadway and husband, Ronnie, all of Albemarle; a sister, Minnie Lou Little of Albemarle; four grandchildren, Kathy Thorpe, Cindy Cambron, Mike Furr and Rhonda M. Broadway; three great-grandchildren; and a special niece, Annie Linkous of Albemarle. Memorials may be made to Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist Church, c/o K.D.
