Death

Deanna Jordan Furr, 63, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, July 4, 2022 at Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord. Deanna was born October 23, 1958 in North Carolina to the late John Thomas Jordan and the late Margie Viola Jordan. She was also preceded in death by her husband Darrell Gene Furr and by her brother John Jordan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Hartsell Funeral Home in concord. The funeral service will be on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 11:30 am at Hartsell Funeral Home in Concord, officiated by Pastor Travis Boovy. Burial will follow at the Salisbury National Cemetery at 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury. Deanna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a very devoted Christian and an amazing singer. Her husband Darrell was a minister at the Church of God of the Bible in Kannapolis to which she assisted him in the music ministry. Deanna was a dedicated early childhood educator for over 20 years. She was a generous person who would help anyone in need and took every opportunity to minister to others. Deanna loved her family most of all and will be greatly missed by all those that knew her. Survivors include daughter, Leanna (Matthew) Woodward of Kannapolis, NC, daughter, Brooke (Michael) Sterka of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Austin, Avery and Alex Warren, Morgan and Lauren Sterka, and Logan Woodward; Brothers, Frank, Sam, and Dale Jordan; sister, Rebecca Petzke, and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is serving the Furr family.
