Death
Minneola Voges, 95, of College Station, died Sunday, July 17, 2016. Mrs. Voges was born Aug. 20, 1920, to Howard and Pearl Furr Sammons. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Pearl Furr Sammons; husbands, Bruce Melton and Howard Voges; three sisters; and one brother. Survivors include her daughters, Faye (Joe) Hartfiel and Deana (Mario Munzon) Voges of College Station; sons, Bob (Leona) Melton of Cleveland and Wayne (Barbara) Melton of Tennessee; sister, Betty Jean Brown of Kenedy; nieces, Joycie Welkner and Wilma Brabec; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. The funeral service was conducted Saturday, July 23, at 2 p.m. at the Eckols Funeral Home chapel; interment followed in the Kenedy Cemetery. Pallbearers were David Buxkemper, Michael Grillo, Jacob Grillo, Joel Mathai, Jr., Samuel Davis, Gharette Scott Melton-James, Alexandra Mathai and Brandon Welkner. Arrangements were entrusted to Eckols Funeral Home.Endnotes
