Sylvia Ann "Boots" (Thompson) Almond, age 71, of Concord, N.C., died Sunday, March 18, 2007, at Hospice House of Cabarrus County in Kannapolis, N.C. She was a member of Glorieta Baptist Church. The family meeting place will be the home @ 5031 Lacewood Court, Concord. She was the daughter of the late Hurley Thompson and the late Anna (Furr) Thompson. She is survived by her One Son, Son-Tim Almond & Wife Teresa of Concord, N.C.  One great-grandchild Arrangements are being handled by Hartsell Funeral Home - Concord, PO Box 367, Concord, N.C., where the family will receive friends from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Tuesday, March 20, 2007. Funeral service will be at Hartsell Funeral Home Chapel - Concord at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 21, 2007 , Rev. Bill Nix officiating. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis NC.
