Wilkins Norwood, 75, of 105 Highbourne Drive, died Sunday, Jan. 9, 2000.
Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late George Alexander and Aimee Sloan Norwood. Mr. Norwood founded his own real estate company, Wilkins Norwood & Co. He was a communicant of Christ Church Episcopal.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Furr Norwood; and five children, Mrs. Craig Laucks (Elizabeth Norwood) of Los Angeles, Mrs. Thomas Darlington Todd Jr. (Skye Wells) of Laurens, Mrs. Tyna Wells Todd, Mrs. James Edward Lipscomb IV (Shannon Wells Norwood), and a son, Joel Wells Norwood. There are also nine grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Frank Moore (Lillian Norwood). He was predeceased by two children, George Alexander Norwood and Aimee Norwood Standridge.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at Springwood Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to The Saint Francis Foundation-Cancer Floor, 1 Saint Francis Drive, Greenville, SC 29601 and to the Laurens Academy at P.O. Box 425, Laurens, SC 29360.
