Death
ALBEMARLE – Thomas Franklin (Uncle Tommy) Roland, 83, retired schoolteacher and magistrate, died Tuesday afternoon a his home on Mt. Pleasant, Rt. 1 Funeral services will be held Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Mission Baptist Church, conducted by the pastor, Dr. C. C. Burris, assisted by the Rev. Coy Muckle. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Surviving are his wife, the former Maude Shoe; one daughter, Mrs. Homer Furr of Mt. Pleasant; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Elsie Sides of Mt.
