Death
KANNAPOLIS - Grace Wagoner, 85, formerly of 308 S. East Ave., Kannapolis, died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2007, at Universal HealthCare, Concord. The funeral will be noon Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel, Kannapolis, with the Rev. Harry Ferguson officiating. Interment will be at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11 to noon Saturday at Whitley's Funeral Home. Mrs. Furr was born Aug. 24, 1921, in Wilkes County, the daughter of the late Conie Wagoner and the late Mollie Cleary Wagoner. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hoke Furr, in 1979; and her son, Donald Ray Furr in 2006 Survivors include her daughter, Betty Gaskins and husband, Michael, of Havelock; eight grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Owen and Rob Wagoner; and half-brothers, Lee, Jack and Dean Wagoner.
