Death

Tuesday, April 22, 2014 — Michael Carl Neugebauer, 56, of Stanfield, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, in CMC-Northeast, Concord, N.C.  His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Philadelphia Baptist Church with the Rev. Dwight Mabry officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall immediately after the burial.  Born April 18, 1958, in Akron, Ohio, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Patty Weeks Fleming Neugebauer.  He was a retired employee of Hughes Supply in Monroe, N.C. and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. He was an assistant Sunday School teacher, a volunteer at West Stanly Christian Ministries and worked part-time at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts in Locust. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Renea Furr Neugebauer of the home. Other survivors include sons, Tommy Neugebauer and wife Sandra of Stanfield, Mitchell Neugebauer of Charlotte and Mike Neugebauer of Tennessee; daughters, Brandy Mason of Tennessee and Tiffany Hudson Barbee and husband Tyler of Albemarle; six brothers; two sisters; and six grandchildren including his little buddy, Treyton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Stanly Funeral Home, PO Box 207, Albemarle, NC 28002 in order to help with funeral expenses. Stanly Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
