Death
Mabel Linker Furr, 74, of 148 Woodland Dr., Concord, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, July 25, 1997, in NorthEast Medical Center in Concord. Her funeral will be at 4 p.m. today in Center United Methodist Church, where she was a member. The Rev. Berry Queen and The Rev. Lee Pollock will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Born Feb. 4, 1923, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Sidney J. “Sid” and Ida Easley Linker and was retired from Cannon Mills and P.R.D.C. She is survived by her husband, Clifford Furr of the home; a son, Kenny Furr of Concord; two brothers, Lloyd Lee Linker of Stanfield and Billy Ray “Bill” Linker of Locust; and a sister, Annie Belle Linker Barbee of Stanfield.
