Death

Edgar Eugene Webb, 69, Radford, Va., died Monday (April 26, 2004) at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury. Born Aug. 30, 1934, in Caldwell County, Mr. Webb, a son of the late Frederick James and Callie Hice Webb, was educated in the Granite Falls schools. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a fixer in textile mills and was a Jehovah's Witness. His wife, Gaynell Webb, died July 7, 2003; and a daughter, Penny Darlene Webb, died March 9, 1982. Survivors include sons Ricky Eugene Webb, Greensboro, and Gary Lynn Webb, Salisbury; daughters Tonya Furr, Salisbury, and Janet W. Clonch, Rockwell; brother James Roger Webb, Granite Falls; sister Margaret Watson,Granite Falls; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services: The body was cremated.
