CLEVELAND -- The funeral is Friday for Lois Jean McKnight Thomas, 43, 203 James Drive, who died Tuesday (Dec. 7, 2004) at her home. Born Aug. 15, 1961, in Fulton County, Ky., Mrs. Thomas was a daughter of Bonnie and Vernon Huffstickler, Locust. She was educated in the Cabarrus County schools and graduated in 1979 from Central Cabarrus High School, Concord. A homemaker, she was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church, Statesville, and the church choir. Survivors, in addition to her parents, include companion Michael Ayers; daughter Jessica Lee Furr, Locust; sisters Beverly Williams, Kannapolis, and Teresa Hargett, Harrisburg; brother Tony Huffstickler, Mocksville; grandmother Alice Morgan, Concord; and two grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Friday, Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, conducted by the Rev. Wayne Bennett. Burial, 3 p.m. Friday, Forsyth Memorial Park, Winston-Salem. Visitation: 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
