Death
Pink was the son of William Lindsey Close and Rosana Elizabeth Huff. Siblings were John Thomas, Lilli Gay, Rachel Paralee, Francis Marion, Henry Jesse, and Mary N Close. Pink married Almodie Pieratt in 1902. They had four children, Lela Rosellen, born in Santa Anna, Texas and Birdie Marie, William Pinkney Jr, and James Garth Close born in Childress County, Texas. Pink was a very successful farmer on land he owned near Kirkland, a leader in farm innovation in the area.Endnotes
