SUGAR GROVE, W.Va. — Homer Franklin "Frank" Widenhouse, 82, of Sugar Grove, and Cocoa, Fla., died Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2008 at Harrisonburg Health and Rehabilitation Center in Harrisonburg, Va. He was born Sept. 6, 1926 in Cabarrus County, N.C., a son of the late Homer Widenhouse and Ploma Ferguson Widenhouse Burley son and a step-son of Grady Burleyson. He was a member of the Crummett Run Church of the Brethren in Sugar Grove, and was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 339 in Cocoa Beach, Fla. He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was employed in men's retail clothing for 37 years. He is survived by a special friend, Galen Crummett of Sugar Grove, and cousins in North Carolina. A graveside service was conducted 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27, in the Crummett Run Cemetery by Pat Godfrey.Endnotes
