Death
Services for Thomas Wayne Furr Sr., 48, Tyler, are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler, with Brother Troy Williams and the Rev. Johnny Creason officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Mr. Furr died July 3 in Galveston. He was born Sept. 24, 1955, in Tulsa, Okla. He served in the Army, was employed by Super Food Store and was a member of First Church of God. Formerly of Tulsa, Okla., he had lived in Tyler one year. He was preceded in death by his father, J.R. Furr. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Furr, Tyler; children, Shannon West, Tulsa, Okla., Angie Vega, Bristow, Okla, James Walland, Okmulgee, Okla., Thomas Furr Jr., Jennifer Furr, and Casey Furr, all of Mounds, Okla.; sisters, Susan Cook of Skiatook, Okla., and Laura McIntyre of Tulsa, Oka; and six grandchildren Pallbearer will be Larry Brockette.
