Death
Mrs. Vennie Chalker Furr, 73, of 2347 Walden Drive died Tuesday. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. H. K Knight officiating. Burial will be Hillcrest Memorial Park. A native of Gibson, Ga., she had lived in Augusta nearly all her life and was a member of Lumpkin Road Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Leamon Towner, Augusta; daughter, Mrs. Gladys Blizzard, Augusta; three brothers, Henry Chalker and D. Chalker, both of Augusta, and C. L. Chalker, Louisville, Ky.; half-brother Gary Chalker, Augusta and sister, Jewell Harrison, Augusta.The Macon News, Macon, Georgia, February 14, 1976
