Death

HIGH POINT — Ms. Frances (Fuzzy) Furr Best, 86, resident of High Point, died January 28th, 2014 at High Point Regional Hospital. Ms. Best was born August 19th, 1927 in Albemarle, NC, a daughter to the late John A. and Mae Culp Furr. A resident of this area most of her life, she graduated from High Point Central High School in 1944 and, in 1989, retired from Sears after 35 years of service. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church where she had been president of the Augsburg Adult Sunday School Class. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Jennifer Krushas officiating. Interment will be held at a later date at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church in Richfield, NC. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 1401 Heathcliff Rd. High Point, NC 27262. Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point is assisting the family.
