Death
KANNAPOLIS. — Georgia Rowell Furr, 80, 5621 Upper Enochville School Road, died Monday (Jan. 1, 1996) at her home. Born Sept. 5, 1915, in Concord, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Wylie Durant and Lydia Ann Rogers Rowell. Retired from the textile industry, she was a member of Bethpage United Methodist Church. Survivors include husband Wilbur L. Furr; son Douglas E. Furr, Kannapolis; daughters Sylvia F. Webb, Concord, Patricia F, Watson, Rockwell, and Lavada Freeman, Harrisburg; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Bethpage United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Gene McCants. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30. Burial in the church cemetery. Visitation: 7-8:30 tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. At other times the family will be at the home on Upper Enochville School Road.
