Death
KANNAPOLIS — Lilly Virginia Cannupp Furr, 78, of 1003 Craven St , died Tuesday, April 23, 1991, at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. A graveside service will be at 11 am Saturday at Carolina Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. Steve Pennington. The family will be at Hartsell Funeral Home, 460 Branchview Drive, NE, Concord, tonight from 7 to 8:30. Born June 18, 1912 in Cabarrus County, Mrs Furr was a daughter of the late Henry M. and Katie Rose Hartsell Cannupp. A retired textile employee, she was a member of Roberta Baptist Church. Her husband, Buford William “Chick” Furr, preceded her in death. Survivors include three sisters, Edna Carter and Elsie Cochran, both of Concord and Maxie Wiles of China Grove, three grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.Endnotes
