Death
CONCORD -- Mrs. Furr, 85, of 729 Sunderland Road, died Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at Universal Health Care. Funeral service is 2:00 PM Friday, November 19, at New Grace Baptist Church, Concord, with a 30 minute state prior to the service. Reverend Johnny Morton, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, November 18, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Concord. Mrs. Furr was born in Cabarrus County on January 20, 1919, a daughter of the late Minnie and Henry Williams. She was a homemaker, and widow of the late Walter Daniel Furr. Mrs. Furr was a member of New Grace Baptist Church. Survivors include her sons, Clyde M. Furr of Concord, and Evette D. Furr of Winston-Salem, NC; sister, Peggy Williams of New York; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to New Grace Baptist Church, 1160 Warren C. Coleman Blvd. S., Concord, NC 28025.Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord is in charge.
