Death
Latissua Brookshire, 57, of Dalton, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at her residence. Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Simmons of Mount Ulla, N.C.; sons, Joseph Shaver of Huntersville, N.C., and Robert Shaver of Mount Ulla; sisters, Loretta Smith of Chatsworth, Patsy Thornton of Rocky Face, Shirley Sharp of Tunnel Hill and Ellen Morrison of Coleman, Ala.; brothers, James Lee Furr and Kenneth Furr, both of Rocky Face; several grandchildren also survive. Memorial services to honor the life of Ms. Brookshire are today at 5 p.m. at the Tunnel Hill Church of God of Prophecy with the Rev. Ronnie Chandler officiating.
