ALBEMARLE — Henry W. Furr, 58, of 1317 Old Charlotte Road, died Tuesday in Presbyterian Hospital, Charlotte. A native of Stanly County, he was the son of the late William Furr and Dora Morgan Furr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War Two. Survivors include his wife, Sarah Phiffer Furr, a son, Gary Furr of Cary, a sister, Mrs. Naomi Furr of Albemarle. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Thursday at Dunn's Grove Baptist Church. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park. The body will remain at Lefler's Funeral Home. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 until 9 o'clock.Endnotes
