Death
Mr. Larry Furr, age 79, of Concord passed away on November 24, 2023. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 30th from 9 to 11 a.m. at Wilkinson Funeral Home. The funeral will follow at 11 am in the chapel officiated by Rev. Chris Carlyle. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Furr was born on November 18, 1944 in Cabarrus County to the late Homer Lee and Minnie Smoot Barnhardt Furr. He is survived by his two sons, Steven Lee Furr of Mt. Pleasant, and Darren Conley Furr of Harrisburg; two brothers, Kenneth Furr of Florida, and William Furr of Concord; a sister, Brenda Furr Harvell of Midland; seven grandchildren, and five great- grandchildren. Mr. Furr was owner and operator of Furr's Roofing company for over forty years.
