Death

Danny "Pete" Wayne Furr, 71 of Mint Hill, NC, passed away on Friday, January 12, 2024. He was born on September 9, 1952, in Cabarrus County, NC to the late John Arthur Furr and Grace Marie Rhodes Furr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 43 years, Jacqueline "Jackie" King Furr; grandfather, Woodrow Goforth; grandmother, Anna Lee Lunsford Goforth; uncle, Eddie Rhodes and cousin, Gary Wayne all to whom he was very close to. Pete worked for Weiser Security, Charlotte, NC and was a Volunteer Fireman and EMT at Midland Fire Department 601 South for 33 years. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Heather Furr and wife, Dawn, Danielle Furr Sebastian; sister, Wilma Lee Smith of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren, Jacob Lineberger and Riley Sebastian. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Sunset Memory Gardens, Mint Hill, NC with Pastor Tom Gibbs officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, January 19, 2024, at Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville.
