Death

Boyd Wilson Furr 'Teak' MONROE -- Mr. Furr, 59, of Alexander Farm Road, passed away November 17, 2009, at his home. Mr. Furr was born May 6, 1950, to the former Webb Lee and Zillie Clontz Furr. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and a brick mason with Deese & Furr Masonry. Visitation will be Thursday, November 19, 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 20, at Unionville Baptist Church, Monroe. Rev. Hank Parker and Rev. Dac Croasmun officiating. Interment will follow at the Lucy Helms Cemetery, 4316 Hillcrest Church Road, Monroe. Military graveside rites by Stanly County DAV Chapter 12. Survivors include his wife, Cindy Furr of the home; son, Mark Furr; daughters, Brandy Robinson and husband, Timmy, and Beth Furr; grandchildren, Sidney and Russell Robinson; brothers, Buren, Coy, Frank, and Bid Furr; and sisters, Delorce Tomberlin and Doris Teague. Memorials may be sent to Unionville Baptist Church, 510 Baucom Road, Monroe, NC 28110. Hartsell Funeral Home, Midland, is serving the Furr Family.
