1840 Cherokee Co NC Census shows Pleasant Allman age 30-40 years then born 1800/10 page 233 line 27. 1 male born 1820/5(Alfred), 1 male born 1825/30(Tilman).

1850 Stanly Co NC Census shows Pleasant Almond age 51 NC page page 37B farmer #520 524 with son Ervin.

Pleasant Almond sold land on Running Creek in Stanly County on 27 Dec 1856 to Abraham Blackwelder , Stanly Deeds Book 6 page 575.

Being old & weak in body but of sound mind & memory; soul to God; decent Christian burial; just debts to be paid. To my beloved sons John Almond & Ervan: all the remainder of my estate real & personal of every kind whatsoever equally divided among them two as they may choose either by sale or otherwise. And all the rest of my children it is not my will to give them any more as I have given them all ready what I intended them to have and as for my wife Rebeca I do not giver her any more on account we have desolved by mutual consent many years ago & divided our effects and agreed that each should do what they choose with what they accumulated thare after.
