ALBEMARLE — Betty Sue Biles Furr, 62, 21209 Biles Road, died Monday (Nov. 21, 1994) at her home. Born Aug 8, 1932, in Stanly County, Mrs. Furr was a daughter of Vallie Biles, Albemarle, and the late Ruth Elmira Shank and Thomas A. “Alex” Biles. A former Harris Teeter cashier in Albemarle, she was a member of New Mount Tabor Unied Methodist Church. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include William Vance “Billy"” Furr, sons Donald G and G. David Furr, both of Albemarle; daughter Regina French, Williamston; sisters Janette Rice, Rock Hill, S.C, and Gazelle Hinson, Marie Gaddy and Jane Smith, all of Albemarle; and four grandchildren. Services: 4 p.m. Wednesday, New Mount Tabor United Methodist Church, Richfield, conducted by the Rev. Paul McClure and the Rev. Wiley Rutledge. Burial in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation: 7-9 tonight, Hartsell Funeral Home.
