Death

CONCORD — Mrs. Carolyn Maxine Furr Barringer, age 62, of 684 Sedgefield St. SW, Concord, died Sunday, November 28, 1999. Mrs. Barringer was a native of Cabarrus Co. born May 3, 1937, daughter of the late Adam Paul and Fannie Mae Harwood Furr. She was a graduate of Concord High School and had attended Mars Hill College. She worked for 20 years as office manager for Troutman Enterprise and later with Barnhardt Electric. She was a member of Kerr Memorial Baptist Church, a choir member, former Sunday School Teacher and Former R.A. Director, former organist & pianist, an active member of Mission Support, and an avid antique collector and gardner. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday at Kerr Memorial Baptist Church officiated by The Reverend Randy Clip. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Mr. Barringer is survived by her husband Larry W. Barringer; son, Michael Barringer, of Columbia; brothers Adam L. Furr and E.E. ‘Sam’ Furr of Concord; mother-in-law, Lillian Barringer, of Concord; brother-in-law, Jerry Barringer of Arcadia, CA. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jack Furr. Memorials may be made to Kerr Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 25 Hwy #49 South Concord, NC 28025. Wilkinson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
